Batch — Firmware updates
This article refers to Platform v3.1.0. The current Platform version is v3.2.0.
Overview
The Firmware updates category of the Batch Command Manager lets you push Node manager and OS firmware updates to many edge nodes at once. Updates always deploy the full image (the incremental path is only available per-node from the Firmware updates popup).
During a batch firmware update:
- The full OS or Node manager image is deployed, replacing the current one.
- Applications and settings on the node are preserved.
- The node reboots automatically when the update finishes.
- If a node already has the other component pending, this update is skipped to avoid two firmware migrations colliding.
Commands
1. Node manager

Node manager firmware update wizard
Deploys a full Node manager firmware image to every selected node. The wizard skips nodes that already have an OS update pending.
For nodes where the chosen version is already installed, you decide what to do:
- Reinstall the same version — useful for a clean software state.
- Do not install — leave the node as-is.
2. OS

OS firmware update wizard
Deploys a full OS firmware image to every selected node. The wizard skips nodes that already have a Node manager update pending.
For nodes where the chosen version is already installed, you decide what to do:
- Reinstall the same version.
- Do not install.
Summary
Use the Firmware updates batch category to roll out the two-component firmware (Node manager + OS) across many nodes consistently. Apps and settings ride through the update; the only operational cost is the automatic reboot at the end.
