Step 1: Activate your license

Welcome to Barbara, your one-stop shop for managing your edge computing resources! Before you unleash the power of edge nodes and unlock their potential, you'll need to activate your organization license within Barbara Panel. This quick tutorial will guide you through the simple process of creating an account, setting the stage for you to effectively manage your edge network.

Get your user invitation from the Barbara team
Before creating an account, you'll need a Barbara License for your organization. This license unlocks access to the Barbara Panel and allows you to manage your edge computing resources.
Here's how to get your invitation:

Contact the Barbara Sales Team
Reach out to our dedicated sales team at sales@barbara.tech. They'll be happy to discuss your needs and guide you towards the right license option.
In case your company already has a license, you must contact your company's administrator profile and ask him for an invitation mail. In that case, step directly to step 2.

Once you have a license, you'll then receive an invitation email (see example image below).

Registering your Account
The invitation email will contain a button labeled "REGISTER ACCOUNT". Click this button, and your web browser will open the Barbara Panel registration page (see example image below).

Completing the Registration Form
On the registration page, complete the following steps:
- Enter your full name.
- Choose a strong and secure password for your account.
- Review and accept the Barbara Panel Terms & Conditions.
- Click the "CREATE ACCOUNT" button.
Once you've completed these steps, you'll be redirected to the Barbara Panel login page.
Log in to Barbara PANEL
We recommend using Google Chrome for optimal performance, but Barbara Panel is accessible through most web browsers. Simply navigate to the URL below.
You can access the Barbara Panel Login here.
On the login page, enter the email address you used during registration. This email address serves as your username.

Once you enter your credentials and log in successfully, you'll be greeted by the Nodes list view. Initially, this list will be empty as you haven't deployed any Edge Nodes (hardware devices) yet.

Edge Nodes View
Before an Edge Node can be added to your Barbara Panel and managed remotely, it needs to have the Barbara OS firmware installed. This firmware transforms your hardware into a powerful edge computing device.
Don't worry about the installation process just yet! The next step in our Getting Started guide will walk you through installing Barbara OS on your Edge Nodes. We'll provide clear instructions to ensure a smooth setup process.
